Kohl’s hires for retail jobs in Illinois

Retail giant Kohl’s has announced it is recruiting for retail jobs in Illinois and several other states.

The company is opening nine stores in seven states, including Illinois, New York, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

The move is expected to create more than 1200 jobs.

Wal-Mart Recruits for Retail Jobs in Illinois

Wal-Mart is recruiting for a variety of retail jobs in Illinois.

The Wal-Mart in Godfrey, Illinois, is the location that is hiring currently. They are now taking applications for around 300 new positions.

The new location will be opening January 26. It is located at Godfrey and Airport roads.

A good chunk of the employees are expected to be secured by December, so interested parties should get an application is as quickly as possible. As always, remember to fill out all required fields in the application portion, sign necessary documents, and bring appropriate ID’s to interview sessions.

Pay starts at $8.25 an hour.

Walmart.com/apply has all the details. You can apply to a variety of positions there.

You can also submit an application in person from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. The hiring site will be closed part of Thanksgiving week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Toys R Us is Hiring for Retail Jobs in Illinois

Good news for seasonal workers: Toys R Us are ramping up for the holiday season to hire thousands of employees and will also be recruiting to fill retail jobs in Illinois.

The giant toy retailer is looking to hire up to 45,000 employees nationwide. The New Jersey-based retailer said this will double their current number of employees.

Toys R Us has Express stores, regional stores, and their Babies R Us stores as well.

Around 600 of the new Express stores are opening up that will create a need for a lot more employees, 10,000 more than last year’s 35,000.

Managers, cashiers, and sales associates are all needed for the stores.

Distribution centers are hiring too. Seasonal workers also fill positions at company’s distribution centers in Dallas, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, NewJersey and Ohio.

Current employees will be eligible to take on additional hours to plump up their wallets during the holiday season.
